Welcome to our new PhD researchers Jitse and Fiebe
Two new PhD researchers join the lab, working on AI for agriculture and on uncertainty-aware multimodal learning.
We are happy to welcome two new PhD researchers to the BioML lab!
Jitse Deketelaere works in collaboration with ILVO (Flanders Research Institute for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food) and contributes to two Horizon Europe research projects, investigating how knowledge graphs, large language models and machine learning can support applications in the agricultural sector.
Fiebe Denijs studies uncertainty-aware machine learning systems, and in particular how disentangling aleatoric and epistemic uncertainty in multimodal AI can enable adaptive, cost-effective data acquisition and reliable decision-making.
